How Does BBQ of the Month Work?

The best BBQ in the country, of course!! Smoked with love from Famed Chef-Pitmaster, Tim McLaughlin, every box will have either 4 pounds (small box) or 8 pounds (big box) of smoked meat. Each shipment will include some of Crossbuck BBQ's popular menu items, as well as monthly specials. Sometimes you'll even be able to choose a seasonal special. You can choose the frequency for both the small and big box subscriptions, selecting every month, every other month, or every quarter.

Crossbuck uses professional grade, vacuum sealed packaging that lock-in all the flavor and make it incredibly easy to reheat...plus every shipment will have a flier with detailed instructions for its specific contents. The basic instructions are: Pre-heat your oven and place thawed food still in the vacuum sealed bag in an oven safe dish with water. Cover it loosely and place in the oven and cook for indicated time.  Remove from the oven and let it rest a few minutes. Open the vacuum sealed pack and serve. That's all there is to having ready to eat, hot and delicious SMOKED BBQ ANYTIME YOU WANT IT!

We ship the second Monday of every month, and all subscription boxes are sent UPS. Chef-Pitmaster Tim McLaughlin is planning the menu for each shipment based on what is fresh and available that month, so you'll know what's in the box after your credit card is charged, about the first of the month for your subscription.

All meats are shipped in vacuum sealed bags that can be reheated once thawed for use right away, or can be placed in the freezer for use weeks or months later. 

Not at all. When you prepare the food you receive, all you are doing is reheating the food. There is no air in the sealed bag, and no additional cooking occurs to potentially dry out the contents. The vacuum-sealed bags also "lock-in" the flavor so it will be juicy, tender, and taste like it just came out of the smoker.  It is very important that you heat up the meats in the vacuum sealed packaging and that you do not puncture the packaging.  


Packaging & Shipping

All subscription boxes have food vacuum sealed in professional grade plastic, which is placed inside a foil liner with icepacks, and sealed in a cardboard box.

Yes. You can recycle the cardboard boxes and the ice packs can be reused. Please consult your local regulations to investigate recycling the foil liner.

Free! Nada! Zero! Zilch! All shipping costs are included in the cost of your subscription box.

All subscription boxes include ice packs that safeguard your food for the three day excursion and a little extra time on your doorstep. If you are going on a trip and won't be home for days, please email bbqconcierge@crossbuckbbq.com to adjust your shipping day.
